Bellwood 543-Acre Mixed-Use Development Takes Shape on Tyler’s West Loop

The west side of Tyler is undergoing significant growth with the Bellwood Development, a 543-acre mixed-use project located at the intersection of the West Loop and Earl Campbell Parkway.

The first phase of this expansive development is already underway and will feature a modern 3rd-generation Brookshire’s grocery store. Fast food chains, retailers, medical services, and other commercial establishments will soon follow, with Chick-fil-A already breaking ground as the first business in the area.

Confirmed tenants for the upcoming retail center include Freddy’s Frozen Custard, 7 Brew Coffee, Smalls Sliders, Dillas Quesadillas, Teriyaki Madness, Jersey Mike’s Subs, and more. Several other commercial spaces remain available for future businesses looking to capitalize on this thriving location.

Beyond retail and dining options, Bellwood’s long-term plans include specialty retail spaces, hotels, office buildings, 500 single-family homes, multi-family housing units, senior living communities, and active adult housing. The first businesses are expected to open by summer 2025, with the retail center expected to reach near completion by the end of that year.
