The Tyler Economic Development Council (TEDC) is making significant strides in expanding the city’s business infrastructure with the recent acquisition of 281 acres for a new business park. The newly purchased land, located between Highway 271 and FM 14, is set to become a key industrial and commercial hub.
TEDC president Scott Martinez emphasized the strategic value of the property, noting strong interest from businesses looking to establish a presence in Tyler. This purchase follows TEDC’s 2023 acquisition of 412 acres for the Tyler Interstate Commerce Park, further solidifying the city’s role as a major commercial center.
In addition to the new business park, Tyler continues to see industrial growth, with recent investments from Great Southern Wood Preserving-Yella Wood and Amazon, which recently secured 30 acres for a 140,000-square-foot facility in North Tyler Commerce Park.
With these major developments in progress, Tyler is positioning itself as an economic powerhouse, drawing businesses and investors seeking a thriving and strategically located commercial environment.
